More Stop Junk Faxes-by Eli
As promised, today I will begin to share the names of companies who are using ILLEGAL JUNK FAX senders like PEARL STAR COMMUNICATIONS to sell their stocks.
The most frequently mentioned name from responders to this blog...and there have been many....is
Axis Technologies Group.
"Vicki" was kind enough to tell me that when she contacted someone in investor relations she was told it wasn't AXIS Technologies Group's problem that the marketing company they hired used ILLEGAL methods. WRONG AXIS Technologies Group. You are party to illegal activities and can and will be held responsible for your actions. You paid for these services and cannot claim no knowledge of the process. This information is being forward to the authorities mentioned in my previous emails on this subject.
If other readers received ILLEGAL JUNK FAXES about Axis Technologies, kindly let me know.
Watching out for you everyday. Visit us at www.theportnoygroup.com

Apparently the FCC has no motive to stop these crooks at Pathfinder Marketing, maybe the solution is to start mailing the FCC all of our millions of faxes and let them see what a problem these clowns are creating. Pathfinder is an ironic name for a company that seems to be impossible to track down.

I got a fax from Gemini / pathfinder marketing at midnight. I would love to call the owners of this company in the middle of the night. They are promoting Playbox internet music sales.

The micro-cap companies are collaborating with the spamblasters. They don't care if you complain because they're playing a numbers game. Send millions of faxes, get a thousand buy-orders. If you don't want to buy their stock then so-what; 99.9% of folks will never consider buying. You don't need a great many suckers to boost a stock . . . at least over the short term.

direct from their website. I sent them an email tonite - this daily barrage of faxes has caused me grief and money for more ink. I WILL be filing in Small Claims - just ONE more fax, and thats it. I have been on the Do Not call list since its inception and renewed........so there is NO excuse. They ARE responsible and IF they want to give up or go after THEIR advertising company thats THEIR problem for a judgement against them. You can file against TNRO - because THEY hired the advertising firm. (wink). Many Small Claims Courts have NIGHT hours for those of us who work.........its worth the time! Maximum in Small Claims is $7,500 - the 11K fine from the DNC list is NOT worth waiting for - it never happens.
Thank you

We can honestly say we share your vexation at not being able to find the people who are sending the faxes. We get them too and we are Pathfinder Consulting Group, LLC. We get many calls, emails and faxes regarding junk faxes from a "Pathfinder Marketing". We tell them or send them this disclaimer which in shorter form is also on our web site:
We are Pathfinder Consulting Group, LLC which is a NJ company specializing in Web Development, eCommerce and IT Solutions, and we do not now nor have ever sent faxes by Broadcast to unsolicited recipients. We pride our business on presenting only the best services to our clients and do not participate in any such programs. The only marketing we do is specifically for our contracted customers and limited only to the types of marketing listed on our web site, i.e. email, keyword and search marketing.
We appreciate your concern and share your dismay. Pathfinder Consulting Group is not Pathfinder Marketing and as such we do not do any broadcast faxing of any materials. These faxes are bogus junk faxes sent out by unscrupulous persons trying to drum up business for their "pump and dump" stock schemes. I assure you that our company is not responsible for these annoyances.
You should contact an attorney who specializes in handling junk fax cases in your state or the FCC.
This is the only way we know to let people know we are not doing this.

I have been receiving these faxes for some time now, and even though I call the toll-free number to be removed from the call list, the faxes keep coming. I would like information on pursuing legal action against Pathfinder Marketing Inc. If anyone can track these people down, lets all get in on a class action suit and recover some of our toner money.

I have had success in stopping junk faxes by listing my fax number on the "Do Not Call" list and then reporting any company that sends an unwanted fax.
I have had no success tracking Pathfinder or Gemini Market News in order to report them. Anyone out there have a phone number for these companies???? Not the one on the junk Fax.

I wish I would not receive these junk faxes. They have a written a number where I can call to stop receiving the fax. Guess what, the number is no longer in service. Cannot anything be done to stop this paper invasion?

We have been receiving these fax messages from Gemini/Pathfinder Marketing, and I've been diligent in reporting them each time we receive a fax. I just received a letter from the FCC essentially saying that they can't find them either, so they can't take action.
and guess what, I just got another fax.
AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

I just returned the Gemini / Pathfinder fax to Terra Nostra Resources (fax no. 626-796-5999) with the following message in bold felt pen......"I will never invest in a company who markets this way"

I have been getting junk faxes from Asian Investment Alert, Hot Stocks on the Street, etc, through Gemini Market News and Pathfinder Marketing. I have filed complaints with the FTC, the FCC, and the SEC with no relief. I'm furious about this because they come at 3:00AM and they waste paper. So far nothing has worked, but here is a suggestion: DO NOT CALL THEIR OPT-OUT TOLL-FREE PHONE NUMBERS. This is like replying to e-mail spam - it just tells these low-lifes that your fax number is legitimate and working. I quit calling the opt-out phone numbers and now I contact the company directly and I threaten to turn them in to all the agencies listed above. Otherwise I am at a loss RE: how to stop this terrible practice.

I work for a lawfirm and am currently seeking the true identities of the perpetrators of:
Hot Stocks on the Street / Asian Investment Alert / Alternative Energy Advisor
Which are all published by:
Panther Marketing Inc. / Pathfinder Marketing Inc. / Cyber Communications Services Ltd.
Which are all paid by:
Gemini Market News Inc. / Putnam Intl Consulting
"who paid the fee on behalf of certain non-affiliated shareholders of the Compnay (sic). Panther Marketing Inc. may purchase, offer and sell shares of the subjects' stock in the public market without further notice before, during and after the distribution of this report."
Hence, the senders of these mass junkfaxes are pumping-and-dumping these faxes, almost certainly without the knowledge of the companies they are promoting.
define pump-and-dump junkfaxes:

The FCC and SEC both have jurisdiction in this fight, but both seem relatively unable or unwilling to stop them. So we are trying to locate and sue these SOBs in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, because not only is this extremely annoying, but it's also illegal. Using facsimile paper & toner, wear and tear on the fax machines & tying them up, preventing legitimate faxes from going through, and calling at all hours of the day and night, often waking homes with small children.
Anyway, I'll continue the battle here in looking for them, try to stop them, but if anyone has any information at all about Pathfinder et al please contact me at:
TravisWMcD@gmail.com
Thanks, and godspeed to you all in the fight against spam!

I too get these unsolicted faxes. Yes WE
can get a judgment - each of us - against Zenith Publications, Ltd. if you can find them. You (each) of us can file in our local small claims court, however, you 1st must ask them to stop by letter, and if they don't ( i.e. you get another fax) then you can sue. I have seen this work, but it takes diligence. Sus

Dear Mr Portnoy:
It is easing my pain and frustration that others are suffering too....
Is there not a legal way to get back at these people?
One can get back at the companies who engaged them but I am looking for a solution to stop the source company.

I just put my fax on the Do Not Call registry, and notified the e-mail above, contacto@canmeximports.com to take me off their list immediately. I'm filing complaints each time I get one from here on out.

I continue to receive junk faxes, one or 2 a month from Hot Stocks on the Street/Cyber Communications Services/Gemini Market News, Inc. The latest is for Viva World Trade, Inc.(VVWT)
Here is the name and contact for the Pres & CEO:
Viva World Trade, Inc.
Neil Mikkelsen
President & CEO
(52)322-209-0837
email: contacto@canmeximports.com

They are in Mexico, Mikkelsen came from Canada...they are marketing Mike's Hard Lemonade in Mexico. Their main division is Canmex Imports. Maybe if we contact them about their marketing methods we can stop this outfit from sending junk faxes.

I am getting junk faxes from Asian Investment Corporation which are being distributed by Pathfinder Marketing Inc. They list the number 1-800-309-0680 as the number to call if you wish to be removed. I have attempted to call this number 5 or 6 times and told the number is no longer in service. If someone knows how I can contact them to be removed, the information would be greatly appreciated.

I have also been receiving these faxes from Pathfinder. I found two corporations in Texas that are registered "Pathfinder Communications, Inc." and "Pathfinder Marketing, Inc." I am going to send a letter to these corporations to see if they accept responsibility for these faxes. If they admit responsibility, or I find their responsibility otherwise, then I will post that at a later time. If they are not responsible, I'll keep looking. I can't assume that one or both of these companies are responsible, but when I find the one that is, I will sue them personally.

My office receives these unsolicited junk faxes very often. As you may know, a federal law, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, prohibits these faxes and provides that the recipient may receive up to $1,500.00 from the violator. I intend to investigate and pursue several of these senders and file lawsuits for clients to recover damages. These violators are using our paper, ink, electricity, and tying up our fax machines.

I keep getting Hot Stocks on the Street and the fax removal number of 1800-918-2902-it has been busy for three days. I am sick off these faxes eating up my ink. These are very annoying.
Posted by: Debbie | January 10, 2007 at 04:46 PM
There are phone systems that you can use to set up and do that 800 pick up and cancel. Vontange is a beautiful thing. But you can also track 800 numbers by calling the operator or contacting the company that ownes the number.
Mortgage ones are fun too. If a company is not licenced in a state it means huge fines.
Posted by: hippo | December 19, 2006 at 09:22 AM
Call the company that is using the marketing company and let them know that they are ultimately responsible for all fines and penalties since they are the one who authorized the faxing. State and Federal law will support that position. Find out what the penalty per illegal fax is in your state and send them a bill for that amount.

I think the idea of sending complaints to the companies being "touted" is a waste of time, since most of this is probably "pump and dump" and they don't care who gets upset.
The only solution I can think of is to call the 800 # for fax removal, hang up when it answers, and redial over and over and over again.
Since they may pay a few cents for each completed toll-free call, if enough people do it, we can at least screw up their profit margin.

I too am a victim of these unsolicited faxes from Pathfinder Marketing, Inc. Last night's fax (always titled "Hot Stocks on the Street") was for a company called China 3C Group. And I too request my number to be removed each and every time, but they still keep coming. I have filled a complaint with the FCC @ http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475.cfm (real easy form to fill out). If the company is indeed INC., then someone should be able to locate them. If not, then asking the company they were hired by for their contact info may be my next course of action.

Your company has been being promoted by Pathfinder Marketing, Inc. They are one of a few companies who use those annoying faxmail approaches to promote, which in turn tie up many companies employees, and networks trying to get rid of them. The 800 fax removal number doesn't work, and the faxes keep coming.
Terra Nostra's name and reputation are quickly becoming associated with this annoying and negative promotion approach. At this point, I don't care what you do; I don't want it! That is my reaction to your company due to Pathfinders Marketing approach, which you pay for, and I assume, condone. See for yourself.
(FAX.PDF Attached)
I encourage you to stop using Pathfinder Marketing Inc as a way of promoting your company.
